Paul Ashburne is a qualified remedial massage therapist (HLT 50307) and is a member of Massage & Myotherapy Australia (formerly Australian Association of Massage Therapists).

He completed his studies in early 2009 while working part time getting to know the industry. Since 2009 he became a full time therapist & has gained experience working with a large variety of conditions relating to muscle pain and their connective tissues, injury prevention, rehabilitation & degenerative change requirements.

In 2011 Paul completed extra studies in Myofascial Dry Needling and now can accompany this proven technique as part of a treatment plan.  Paul has had the privilege to work alongside some of the best soft tissue practitioners and has gained valuable experience whilst working with elite athletes and travelled with professional teams including the Western Force Rugby, West Coast Fever and the Australian Diamonds Netball

Paul has successfully treated many soft tissue pain and dysfunctional conditions like sports related injuries, overuse and bad posture and accidents for example motor vehicle.

Some common examples of conditions Paul has treated:

  • Neck pain –headache, whiplash, impinged nerve and jaw (TMJ) dysfunction.
  • Back pain – Degenerated /prolapsed disc, sacroiliac joint dysfunction.
  • Scoliosis, hyper kyphosis and lordosis
  • Repetitive strain injuries- RSI,Epicondylitis (tennis & golfers elbow)
  • Hip Conditions including FAI
  • Knee injuries – Ligament damage ITB friction syndrome.
  • Ankle & feet conditions including, plantar fasciitis, Achilles tendonitis.

Paul’s personal interests include maintaining good health, fitness and nutrition. He likes to run, road & mountain bike . He has completed half marathons , triathlons and trail run series.He has also been a competitive soccer player and is now happy coaching his daughters soccer team
