Melissa Schneider is the Principal Physiotherapist at Phyt Physiotherapy which operates out of the rooms at Trigg Chiropractic & Integrated Health. Mel graduated from Curtin University with a Bachelor of Science (Physiotherapy) and is also a qualified Clinical Pilates Instructor with a wealth of experience working in private practice. She treats all kinds of musckuloskeletal disorders in a range of different clients including the elite sportsman, the weekend warrior, the office worker as well as the elderly.
Mel uses a range of manual therapy including joint mobilisation, soft/deep tissue massage, trigger point therapy, muscle re-education and dry needling techniques to treat your injury. This is always complemented with a home exercise program or participation in Clinical Pilates that Mel runs from the clinic, to strengthen the core and the stabilising muscles surrounding the injured joint to provide support and prevent re- injury in the future.
It was a strong passion for all things sport and in particular many years of playing netball that drove Mel to pursue physiotherapy. In her spare time, Mel loves to enjoy Perth’s beautiful coastline by snorkelling and surfing, and has a keen passion for travelling.
