A scoliosis is a mild curvature in the spine which can be present at birth however some forms of scoliosis can develop in pre-puberty. The impact of a developing scoliosis can predispose children to complain of headaches, neck pain and other conditions. If you have ANY concerns about your child’s posture, we are happy to offer a free 10 minute assessment of your child to determine if there are any concerns of a developing scoliosis. Signs of a scoliosis are usually:

uneven or unlevelled shoulders, hips or pelvis

abnormal looking posture when looking at your child from the back

complaints of frequent headaches or neck tightness or low back pain

Please note, we DO NOT recommend the use of spinal manipulation with children 12 years and under. This is a recommendation from the Chiropractors Association: Chiropractic Australia
